Five Nottingham Forest players' contracts expiring, Danny Collins should stay and Robert Tesche should go

Nottingham Forest Stadium Night

The likes of Robert Tesche, Danny Collins, Greg Halford and Dan Harding are all out of contract.

The season is coming to an end and with the international break clubs have plenty of opportunity at this moment in time to consider who will remain at the club and who will not.

That includes those whose contracts are coming to an end.

Five players at Nottingham Forest become free agents in the summer, so who should stay and who should go?

Danny Collins - STAY

The Welsh international has played his way back into contention recently, becoming an important member of the team under Dougie Freedman.

A few months ago there would have been no chance of him getting a new deal at the club but now, with Forest in such good form since his return to action, he might have just about earned himself another year.

Dan Harding - GO

Not a feature of the Forest first-team since November and is currently on loan at Millwall. Time to cut him loose.

Robert Tesche - GO

Signed by Stuart Pearce from Hamburg SV in the summer he only agreed a one-year deal and Forest fans appear to be fond of the player.

He is currently with Birmingham City on loan and it would be a surprise if he was kept on.

Greg Halford - GO

The utility player has struggled this season whilst out on loan at Brighton. If he can't cut it there, then he can't at Forest.

Time to let him find another club.

Louis Laing - STAY

An odd one. Signed by Forest last summer from Sunderland they have an option to keep him for another year.

He is talented but has not yet made a breakthrough at Forest. However, another year to take that chance cannot hurt.
