Mile Jedinak scored an inch perfect free kick to help Australia clinch an impressive draw away to world champions Germany.
The set piece early in the second half gave the Socceroos a 2-1 lead, which they looked destined to hold onto, until substitute Lukas Podolski scored his first goal for club or country in 2015 to give Germany a 2-2 draw.
The goal only served to highlight the pedigree of Jedinak, who has been arguably the most underrated player in the Premier League for the past two season.
It was the 30-year-old's eighth international goal, having also netted against Holland at the World Cup last summer.
He also scored earlier this year as Australia won the Asian Cup on home soil, and the side are clearly full of confidence, while Germany looked a shadow of last year's side.
Palace fans may have been just as interested in just ensuring the midfielder comes back fit and healthy for their Premier League campaign, but seeing their star man enhance his reputation with a spectacular finish was nice to see as well.
Here is a look at how they reacted on twitter to his stunning strike...
Mile Jedinak. Scoring an absolute screamer against the world champions, while captaining his team to victory. Casual. #cpfc— J (@FollowThePalace) March 25, 2015
As if Jedinak just scored against Germany! #CPFC— Tommy 'CPFC' Herbert (@Tommy_CPFC_2010) March 25, 2015
