Are these the three Inter Milan players Crystal Palace could sign?

Alan Pardew has confirmed that Crystal Palace have been holding transfer talks with Internazionale.

As per London24, Pardew has confirmed that he has been in contact with Serie A club Inter, and could be looking at signing some of their players in the summer.

“We are getting calls regarding players from Inter Milan and Benfica because they are our market now,” the recently appointed head coach said.

To be in contact with such illustrious clubs will certainly suggest that Palace are taking their Premier League place seriously, and we take a look at three players who the Eagles could be looking to sign in the summer.

Samir Handanovic

With Julian Speroni 35 years old, it would come as no surprise to see the club making moves for his successor, and Handanovic could be that player. He is 30, and is arguably at the peak of his career, with still a good few years left of top level football. The Slovenian international is out of contract at the end of next season, and as per the Mirror, he has been told he can leave the Giuseppe Meazza at the end of this campaign.

Danilo D'Ambrosio

A classy full-back, 26-year-old D'Ambrosio is only a bit-part player for Inter, and he could be looking to leave the club this season in the search for consistent first-team football. Able to play on both sides of defence, he is primarily a right-sided full-back, and has a fairly attacking style that could play to the Eagles' strengths. He has three goals and two assists in 24 games this season, and his forward thinking play will support the wing-play used by Palace. Currently they can choose between Adrian Mariappa and Martin Kelly, but both are one-dimensional defenders, and D'Ambrosio would bring a new look style to Selhurst Park.

Mateo Kovacic

The most unlikely of the three players, with Kovacic an in-demand talent, but the signing of the 20-year-old would signal a real statement of intent by Palace. He has five goals and two assists in 25 appearances this term from his midfielder position, and his drive and youthful energy would add a new dimension to the Eagles’ play. He does have a contract until 2019, which could stall any deal, but the allure of the Premier League may be too hard to turn down for the highly-rated youngster.
