The USA take on Denmark in an international friendly this evening.

This evening sees Denmark take on the USA in Aarhus in an international friendly between the two nations.

USA head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, a cult Tottenham Hotspur hero, has called up a Tottenham player to his team for the fixture.

DeAndre Yedlin had an excellent World Cup with the USA in the summer that saw him linked with a move abroad. It was Tottenham Hotspur who agreed a deal with his MLS side Seattle Sounders for his services.

Tottenham agreed a deal for the player in August and agreed he could remain at Seattle until the end of the MLS season. He joined up with the club at the start of this year but as of yet has still not played for the Spurs first-team.

However he will face Denmark this evening and in doing so will; take on a Tottenham team-mate.

Christian Eriksen is the reigning Danish Footballer of the Year and the key man in Morten Olsen’s squad.

He will be hoping to get one over on Yedlin and his international colleagues. For Yedlin it is a real test. He is not yet in first-team contention at Spurs and he will not want to be outdone by his team-mate this evening.

An interesting battle should be on show, especially if Olsen uses Eriksen from the left-wing.
