Three players who are likely to be sold by Southampton this summer - Schneiderlin and Clyne included

Arsenal v Southampton 2012 Pregame with Schneiderlin

One you won't care about, two you definitely will.

Last summer Southampton lost plenty of big names. The likes of Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Luke Shaw all departed the club after a successful season in the Premier League.

This summer will hopefully be different.

With the international break in full swing managers can begin to think of next season.

So who is likely to be leaving Southampton this summer? Here are three players potentially on their way.

Morgan Schneiderlin

It is hard to swallow but the reality is this; Southampton’s only chance of keeping the French international this summer was finishing in the top four.

Now that is looking increasingly unlikely it would seem Schneiderlin may be on his way.

He has been wanted by several big teams who can offer him Champions League football and Southampton may have to say goodbye to one of their star players reluctantly once again.

Emmanuel Mayuka

It is not all bad news and big names that will be leaving. The likelihood is Southampton will also clear house slightly.

Mayuka is one player who be making his way out of the club.

He has barely featured since arriving from Sochaux and many a Saints fan will forget he is still their player.

Nathaniel Clyne

It pains to say it and it will hurt Southampton fans when it happens in the summer. But much like Jeremy Clarkson leaving Top Gear or Zayn Malik departing One Direction – Clyne is likely to leave Southampton this summer.

Manchester United need a right-back and looks a likely destination for a player who wants to cement his place as England’s definitive starter in the position.
