Celtic will have to pay as much as £1 million in transfer fee if they want to sign goalkeeper Scott Bain from Dundee in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.
Scottish Premiership giants Celtic have been linked with the 23-year-old as a potential replacement for Lukasz Zaluska, who looks set to leave the Bhoys at the end of the season.
Bain is supposed to provide cover for Craig Gordon and also compete with him for a regular place in the Celtic first team.
Bain’s current contract with Dundee runs out in June 2017, and it seems that the Scottish club are not ready to let him go on the cheap.
It will be interesting to see if Celtic are willing to splash out as much as £1m for a player who is not going to play much unless there is an injury to Gordon.
