Crystal Palace are looking to strengthen their ranks for next season and are reported to have Stephane M'Bia in their sights.
The 28-year-old left Loftus Road in the summer of 2014, having spent all of last season on loan at Sevilla - winning the Europa League in the process.
He made 32 appearances in his lone season in West London, but could not help keep the club in the Premier League. Following relegation to the Championship, he left on loan to ensure that his international selection was not hindered.
In 30 games for Sevilla, he scored three goals in La Liga and a further two in Europe, before being selected for Cameroon’s squad for the 2014 World Cup. Although that tournament was a failure, M’Bia enjoyed personal success, making his way to 52 caps and being named as permanent captain of the national team following Samuel Eto’o’s retirement.
M’Bia has retained his key role for Sevilla this term, making 25 appearances in all competitions and scoring an impressive seven goals from his deep-lying midfield position.
As he only signed in the summer, it is unlikely that Sevilla would be willing to let him go, but M’Bia could push for a move if he is keen on returning to the Premier League after two years away from England.
