While many of Tottenham Hotspur’s players are off on international duty, a few senior stars remain in North London preparing for their next Premier League clash.
After conceding six goals in their last two matches, Mauricio Pochettino’s men are likely to be practicing their defensive drills in the days ahead, and summer signing Federico Fazio was one of the players photographed taking part in training on Wednesday.
The Argentine was pictured along with his countryman Erik Lamela and young attacking midfielder-cum-striker Will Miller.
The 18-year-old has featured seventeen times for Tottenham’s under-21 team to date, but he had the chance to train with the senior stars in what is likely to have been a relatively empty training facility this week.
French midfielder Benjamin Stambouli was also photographed in action in pictures posted on the club’s official Twitter account.
The trio of Stambouli, Fazio and Lamela cost Tottenham a combined £42.7million and they will no doubt be hoping to show Pochettino they deserve more chances between now and the end of the season.
