Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray was a surprise spectator at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night.
He was watching rivals Sheffield United demolish Scunthorpe 4-0 in a one-sided League One match.
The reason for Gray's attendance was unclear. Could he have been there on a scouting mission?
Perhaps, but signing players between the two rivals is not so simple, and as to who he was looking at, it would be pure speculation to guess.
He did see former Sheffield Wednesday defender Miguel Llera sent off for Scunthorpe in the first half, a player who the Owls let go just last summer.
The comprehensive victory means United remain in fifth place in League One, eight points behind fourth but five points ahead of sixth position, as another play-off battle beckons.
Gray could just have been doing his research should the Blades get promoted, or it's possible that on a Tuesday night with Wednesday not playing for more than a week, he simply wanted to go and watch a game of football.
