Barcelona winger Neymar insists that he will not try to convince Porto right-back Danilo to snub Real Madrid and make a summer move to the Camp Nou following reports that the 23-year-old defender has agreed to a move to the reigning Champions League winners.
Neymar arrived in Paris on Monday to join Danilo and the rest of the Brazilian national team, and when asked by O Jogo about the Porto defender's reported agreement to join Real Madrid, the captain insists that he will not get involved in any transfer dealings, nor will he try and sway his former Santos teammate's decision.
"I don't like getting involved in anyone's business, especially my friends. I also know how things are with transfers. It'd be a bit boring if I was out here telling him to sign for Barcelona," Neymar said.
However, Neymar went on to praise Danilo and feels that the defender has the quality to play for any team in the world, including Barcelona.
"He's a great player, he has the ability to play for any team in the world," he stressed. "I have no doubt about that. What I want, as his friend, is that he feels good and happy to decide what's best for him. That's what's most important."
While Danilo has been heavily linked with Real Madrid, the defender has also been seen as an ideal replacement for Dani Alves, who could be playing his final games with Barcelona before his contract expires this June.
