Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen has been quoted by STV explaining what he feels is the main reason behind his current form.
The midfielder has quickly become one of the most important players under Ronny Deila and he suggests that’s largely because of the environment that the Norwegian has created at the club.
“The reason why I’m doing so well now is that I enjoy where I am. I see no reason why I should change clubs,” said Johansen.
“I’m at a club that will win trophies, who have the ambition to play in Europe.”
Deila deserves credit for creating a situation where new players developing in the side feel comfortable and that comes down to his approach and calm manner as a top flight manager.
When players feel comfortable and are genuinely happy, they’ll naturally raise their performance levels and give that little bit extra during key games, which can make the difference.
The success also helps because it’s proof that what the manager is trying to achieve and how he’s going about his business is working.
The Bhoys are chasing an historic treble domestically, which would go a long way to the bitter disappointment of the side going out of the Europa League at the hands of Inter Milan.
Johansen can play a vital part in that success and his comments should be encouraging for the club’s fans in terms of other signings they may be eager to remain at Parkhead beyond this season.
