Tottenham fans urge club not to sell Aaron Lennon to Everton

The White Hart Lane faithful have taken to Twitter to state that the 27-year-old loanee’s time in North London may not be over.

Aaron Lennon’s future is up in the air, with reports this week that Everton are keen on a permanent deal for the Tottenham loanee.

The England international has impressed so far since moving to Goodison Park on a temporary deal in January and netted the Toffees’ winner against QPR at the weekend.

However, despite Lennon only making three Premier League starts this season for the White Hart Lane outfit and Mauricio Pochettino seemingly overlooking the 27-year-old, Spurs fans seem keen on keeping the winger out of Everton’s clutches permanently.

With neither Andros Townsend nor Erik Lamela fully convincing the Spurs faithful this season, a host of the North London club’s fans have taken to social media to urge Tottenham not to part company with their longest-serving player.

Lennon has been at Tottenham since 2005 and played a part in Spurs’ solitary Champions League campaign to date in 2010-11.

As such, nostalgia has been creeping in for Spurs fans, with the majority believing that Lennon still could do a job for Pochettino’s men next season. Here are the best tweets:
