Real Madrid to take swift action against Bale attackers

Real Madrid have announced that they will take swift action against the fans who attacked several players after Sunday evening's El Clasico loss.

Real Madrid have announced that they will take swift action over last evening's events, where fans attacked several players as they were leaving the Valdebebas training ground following their 2-1 El Clasico loss to Barcelona.

Real Madrid fans were waiting outside the Valdebebas training ground to berate the players for their losing performance in El Clasico, but things became violent when several fans started attacking the cars of the players as they drove by.

Spanish television station Cuatro's video shows two fans chasing after the player's cars, kicking Gareth Bale's car as it drove by, then trying to punch the window of Jese's car, causing the player to stop and question the fans.

Sergio Ramos stopped and spoke with the angered fans, trying to reason with them and drove away without incident.

However, the video has sparked an outrage, as it's the second time in as many weeks that fans have threatened the players with physical harm, with Sunday evening's events forcing the club to take swift action against those involved.

A statement released by the club on Monday evening confirmed that they had identified the men outside of Valdebebas, one of them is a Real Madrid club member and hope to punish the men accordingly.

Following the incidents that occurred involving three individuals in the early hours of this morning outside Ciudad Real Madrid, Real Madrid C. F. wishes to outline the following:

1.- The Club has already identified the individuals responsible, one a Real Madrid member, for these aggressive and violent actions against several of our players.

2.- Details of this member's identity have been sent to the Club's Discipline Commission, requesting that it expel the individual from Real Madrid for what is considered a very serious offence.

3.- This afternoon, the Discipline Commission held an emergency meeting and decided to open a disciplinary investigation and provisionally suspend the individual's rights as a member and access to the Santiago Bernabéu or any Real Madrid facilities.

4.- Real Madrid has notified Spain's National Anti-Violence Commission of the incidents that took place, as well as the identities of the individuals responsible, requesting that it apply those sanctions that it considers appropriate.

5.- Furthermore, Real Madrid will take any applicable legal action against the individuals responsible for these incidents.

One of the other members has been identified by fans on social media as an Atletico Madrid fan, having taken pictures with many of the players on this year's squad, raising the question as to why he was there in the first place.
