Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista has been training with the Brazil national team ahead of Thursday’s international friendly against France.
This is the first time that the 24-year-old has been called up to represent the South American giants, thanks to his impressive performances so far this season.
The 24-year-old has been in good form for Arsenal since joining them from Spanish outfit Villarreal in the January transfer window.
Despite suffering with fitness and injuries, Gabriel has made four appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners, winning two out of four tackles and 12 out of 14 headers.
In 19 La Liga matches for Villarreal prior to his move to Arsenal, the centre-back created three chances and had a pass accuracy of 85%, while winning 14 out of 26 tackles and 46 out of 77 headers.
