People News: Wells Fargo, Citigroup

Citi Building Sign

Wells Fargo has named Darin Deschamps and Sandra Taube Godard as co-heads of capital markets in Canada.

Bloomberg News reports that Deschamps was deputy head of investment banking and oversaw the financial institutions group and financial sponsors coverage for National Bank Financial, Wells Fargo said Monday in a statement.

Taube Godard joined Wells Fargo Securities in 2013 and previously was a managing director for Barclays and head of derivative and fixed-income sales for HSBC in Canada.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Hironari Nozaki, who topped a ranking of Japan banking analysts for more than a decade, said he’s leaving Citigroup to become a university professor.

Nozaki will quit the U.S. brokerage at the end of this month and start as a professor of finance at Kyoto Bunkyo University from April 1, he said by phone.
