Forest fell 3-1 against the Canaries in their last game, which has left them clinging onto a chance of finishing in the top six by their finger nails.
Freedman has told the club’s supporters that he will never pull the wool over their eyes in relation to the position the club is in and has promised what they will always see from their team.
“I am responsible for the Nottingham Forest fans and it’s my responsibility to get my message through from you guys, to tell them the honest truth as to where we are,” said Freedman.
“I will promise that we will always show spirit and will always show commitment.”
Forest have been in good form since Freedman came in to replace Stuart Pearce as manager and he’s done well to develop a number of key qualities and core values already at the club.
Forest are a very passionate team and it’s important the side continues to show commitment over the rest of the season.
The majority of fans will accept any manner of results, as long as they are getting full value and loyalty from their players.
The spirit and commitment that Freedman talks about is significant because of the impact it can have on supporters, raising the volume levels and creating a very intimidating atmosphere for the opposition to play in.
That can put opponents onto the back foot and if it makes Forest’s job easier in the process, few can argue with that.
