Arsenal media round-up: Wenger reveals one of his habits after each defeat

A round up of news stories this morning related to Arsenal.

ESPN has carried quotes from Arsene Wenger where he reveals that he doesn’t go out for days following a bad Arsenal defeat.

The Frenchman has had to suffer one or two difficult losses over the course of this season already.

He admits he watches Match of the Day on Saturday evenings to take in highlights from all games and to see how Arsenal have been judged by former players.

“If we have not got a game for a while and we have lost the last one there are times when I have not gone out at all for days,” said the boss.

The Daily Express has quoted Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as he ‘battles’ his way back from injury.

The 21-year-old is currently out of action with a hamstring strain, but is determined to fight his way back to full fitness as quickly as possible.

He misses England’s next two games with injury; the matches against Lithuania and Italy.

“I am all right, battling on. Injuries and niggles are all part of the game,” he said.

The Metro has reported that Arsenal are making a player to sign Mateo Kovacic from Inter Milan.

The highly rated midfielder is thought to be a long term replacement for Mikel Arteta and Abou Diaby.

Arsenal could comfortably afford a deal with a transfer fee in the region of £17 million.
