Southampton's Steven Davis has shown how much of a perfectionist he is in his comments on the club's official website.
Davis started in Southampton's 2-0 victory over Burnley and it would have been a win which satisfied most clubs across the country.
However, the Saints have raised their expectations this year and Davis' comments expose just how high the bar has been raised at St. Mary's this season.
The Northern Ireland international could have justifiably been happy to have secured an important three points, but he was keen not to overlook some of the weaker parts of their game which were shown up during the contest.
"In the first half it was quite an open game. I thought maybe too much so, in terms of the chances we let them have as well, so a little bit disappointed with that," he admitted. "I think second half we came out and we dominated a lot better and had a few opportunities to add to it. We’re delighted with the three points and another clean sheet."
Despite Davis' reflections, Southampton are likely to feel pleased with the three points which put them back on track.
The Saints have suffered a dip in form of late, but they were back to somewhere close to their best against Burnley and the win sets them up nicely for the rest of the campaign.
The south coast club are desperate to make it into a European place and they are only a few victories away from cementing their lofty standing in the Premier League table.
