Rodney Marsh on Queens Park Rangers and Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard

Queens Park Rangers lost 2-1 to Everton at home on Sunday, while Liverpool went down 2-1 to Manchester United at Anfield in the Premier League.

Rodney Marsh has taken to social networking site Twitter to insists that Queens Park Rangers will retain their Premier League status for next season.

The former QPR forward made the comments following the London outfit’s 2-1 defeat to Everton at Loftus Road in the league on Sunday.

The loss to the Toffees at home means that Rangers are now second from bottom in the Premier League table with 22 points from 30 matches, four points behind 17th-placed Sunderland.

Chris Ramsey’s side are one of the top candidates to suffer relegation to the Championship at the end of the season, but Marsh seems confident that they will stay up.

Marsh has also mocked Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard for his dismissal against Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.

The former England international came on as a half-time substitute against the Red Devils in the Premier League encounter, but he was shown a straight red card just seconds later for a bad foul on Ander Herrera.

Liverpool are currently fifth in the Premier League table with 54 points from 30 matches, five points behind fourth-placed United.
