Report: Allardyce may reject contract offer from West Ham

Sam Allardyce Press Conference Disappointed 12/02/2014

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce may reject a new offer from the club, with a report that the terms won't be what he's looking for.

The Daily Telegraph has suggested that West Ham United could fight tough over a new deal for Sam Allardyce.

Allardyce’s current contract expires at the end of the season, with it still unclear whether the boss will be offered fresh terms to stay on at Upton Park.

Some fans have questioned whether he’s the right man and style of manager to guide the side forward as they prepare to play in the Olympic Stadium in a couple of years, which could see the club move the boss on at the end of the season.

The paper does suggest that the Hammers will offer Allardyce the chance to stay, which he does deserve because of the progress the club has made since he came in.

However, the paper also suggests that any offer going into Allardyce will be beneath the terms he’s hoping for, which could cause him to reject any offer and move on regardless at the end of the season.

The pressure over Allardyce has been eased slightly thanks to the gritty 1-0 win against Sunderland over the weekend.
