Gareth Bale’s troubles at Real Madrid are seemingly set to continue, with the former Tottenham star putting in an underwhelming performance in his side’s 2-1 defeat in the Clasico against Barcelona last night.
The Wales international has come in for a hard time since the turn of the year, with the Los Blancos fans booing Bale in home fixtures and the Spanish press scapegoating him for the European champions’ loss of form.
In the aftermath of the game, as can be seen below, a number of Madrid fans attacked Bale as he drove past in his car outside the capital city side’s training base after the game, with Spanish television channel Cuatro capturing the footage.

In an article written by Juanma Trueba, the world’s most expensive player was accused of “disappearing completely” as the game went on.
Bale had a chance in the first half to find the Barcelona net when the ball bounced to him in the opposition penalty box, but he flashed an effort wide.
The Welshman struggled to impact proceeding with Jordi Alba stifling his efforts and as such criticism looks set to continue.
