Barcelona's Messi, Suarez and Neymar celebrate Clasico win

The Barcelona attacking trio gave beating Real Madrid the thumbs up.

Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was Sunday's hero at the Camp Nou, scoring what proved to be the decisive strike for Barcelona as they won the Clasico against Real Madrid.

Clearly the happiest of trios, Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi posed for a post-match snap on the official Facebook page of the Argentine star.

As tight a game as they come, Sunday's Clasico clash saw Barcelona edge themselves ahead with a goal from French defender Jeremey Mathieu 20 minutes into the game.

However, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo fired Real Madrid back on level terms just after the half-hour mark. Gareth Bale thought he'd given Los Blancos the lead before half-time, but his effort was ruled out controversially for offside.

The crucial strike that decided the outcome came from Luis Suarez in the 55th minute, with the Uruguayan producing a sumptuous finish following the pinpoint forward ball from full-back Dani Alves.

Barcelona claimed what could prove to be the most important victory of their season in La Liga, pushing them four points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the table. With 10 games remaining, anything could yet happen in the title race.

If Barcelona now claim the title in La Liga, then Luis Suarez will certainly have fired himself not just to a winners medal, but also into folklore with fans of the Catalan club.
