Adryan featured in Leeds under-21s 2-1 win over Brentford.
Leeds United fans got another look at Brazilian loanee Adryan as he featured in an under-21 match against Brentford.
Adryan was signed on loan from Flamengo last summer and worked his way into the first team, but has been on the sidelines in 2015.
Head coach Neil Redfearn has not felt he has been required in recent weeks, and the Brazilian has played just 15 minutes as a substitute since January.
He was in the starting line-up last night for the under-21s, and provided an assist from a free-kick for Dario del Fabro to score a 79th minute equaliser.
His performance up until this point made little impact, barring an early shot which hit the crossbar.
The winner was scored by 19-year-old striker Sam Parkin, while as well as Del Fabro, another loanee Brian Montenegro also started. Kalvin Phillips, Lewis Walters, and Chris Dawson also featured.
The victory was encouraging and lended more credence to the argument Neil Redfearn should give first team opportunities to a handful of the players before the end of the season.
Should Adryan be one of them? His display split opinion among fans, here is what they had to say via Twitter...
Far better from Adryan tonight but our academy lads are ahead in the pecking order for me. #lufc— Irish_Leeds (@Irish_Leeds) March 23, 2015
Adryan makes nice little flicks & touches, but Dawson does more with the ball: drives at defences, threads through balls. Looks better #lufc— Sim Gardiola (@simamuofficial) March 23, 2015
Really hope we sign Adryan on a permanent. The lad is 20, he has plenty of time to grow. Will be a huge mistake if we let him go.— Woody (@LUFC_Woody) March 23, 2015
You just have a go to a under 21's game to see that Adryan just won't cut it in the first team— Fran Senior (@Fransenior93) March 23, 2015
Perfect freekick from Adryan!— Micael Björn (@micaelbjrn) March 23, 2015
