Goalkeeper: Karl Darlow
Nottingham Forest have used Karl Darlow and Dorus De Vries in goal at different stages throughout the campaign, but the former just about edges this contest. Darlow has raised his game since Dougie Freedman took over and has shown his class.
Left-back: Danny Fox
Fox may not have been Forest's most impressive player and this could be a position where Forest look to upgrade in the summer. The former Southampton man wins his place in this team due to a lack of competition, though.
Centre-back: Michael Mancienne
Forest have not settled upon a centre-back pairing all season, for various reasons, but Mancienne has probably been their star defender in this position when fit.
Centre-back: Kelvin Wilson
Has missed a part of the campaign with injury, but has generally impressed when in the team.
Right-back: Erij Lichaj
Former loan star Jack Hunt just misses out to the American, who has been impressive at right-back all season.
Defensive midfield: Gary Gardner
The Aston Villa midfielder may not have been with Forest for the entire campaign, but he has shown his worth under Dougie Freedman. He has offered great protection and even proved a threat going forward.
Right-wing: Chris Burke
Another player to make notable improvements under Freedman, Burke has been excellent for the Reds in recent times. He is one of the Championship's most dangerous wingers.
Central-midfield: Henri Lansbury
Although Lansbury was a disappointment while Stuart Pearce was in charge, he has still racked up some impressive figures in terms of goals and assists.
Central-midfield: Ben Osborn
Arguably Forest's Player of the Season, Osborn has had a fine breakthrough year and looks like a player the Reds can build around in the years ahead.
Left-wing: Michail Antonio
Antonio has been hugely impressive this season since arriving at the City Ground. He is the Reds' most notable attacking threat and has 13 goals to his name this season.
Striker: Britt Assombalonga
Although the striker has been injured since the start of February, he has still been Forest's main striker. His total of 15 goals in 32 games makes him the club's leading scorer.
