The West Brom striker will miss out on representing his country through injury.
Injury trouble has caught up with the 26-year-old, however, and he has now been ruled out of Nigeria's two upcoming friendlies.
And the West Brom striker admits the international break will be bittersweet for him as a result. Indeed, Ideye is naturally saddened that he can't represent his country - but he is also glad to be spending time with his family, according to his personal Twitter account:
It is sad due to injury that am not on a flight today to join my teammate and friends in Eagles camp.— Ideye Brown MON (@OfficialIdeye) March 22, 2015
Spending quality time with my family to ease the pain in my body and heart #Bittersweet— Ideye Brown MON (@OfficialIdeye) March 22, 2015
The 26-year-old has scored seven goals for West Brom in all competitions this season but will hope to produce a greater return for Tony Pulis's side in future.
The Baggies currently sit 14th in the Premier League, having fallen in the standings after their 3-0 loss at Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
