Aston Villa youngster Jack Grealish has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his disappointment at Notts County’s decision to sack manager Shaun Derry and assistant boss Greg Abbott.
The Nottingham-based outfit have dismissed the duo following a run of poor results, as announced on their official website earlier today.
Notts are currently 20th in the League One table with 42 points from 37 matches, just a place above the relegation on goal difference.
The club’s decision to sack Derry and Abbott may not have come as a huge surprise to many, but it was certainly bad news for Grealish.
The highly-rated 19-year-old played on loan at the Magpies last season, scoring five goals in 37 League One appearances.
Grealish enjoyed working with Derry and Abbott last season, and has wished them the best of luck for the future.
Sad to see Shaun Derry & Greg Abbot leave Notts. Was great towards me last year & would like to wish him all the best pic.twitter.com/PCnbLUs7IS— Jack Grealish (@JackGrealish1) March 23, 2015
Grealish is current part of the Villa first team and has made 10 Premier League appearances so far this season, creating five goals and having a pass accuracy of 89% in the process.
