Arsenal media round-up: Ramsey makes exciting claim as Gunners chase title

A round up of news stories this morning related to Arsenal.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been quoted by ESPN suggesting the Gunners can still win the Premier League title.

The North Londoners are chasing a big gap to overhaul Chelsea at the top of the table but the Welshman is confident of a victory.

The Gunners need a perfect run of form and will be hoping that Chelsea and Manchester City above them, both drop points.

“Stranger things have happened. We need to win every game, and hope Chelsea and Man City do not take every step,” he said.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been quoted by the Independent suggesting that forward Olivier Giroud is one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

The Frenchman was the main man for Arsenal over the weekend, bagging both goals in the win against Newcastle United.

He has been criticised in the past for his inconsistent performances but he’s playing well at the right stage in the season.

“Is he one of the best in the Premier League now? I think so. He is scoring the goals to prove it, he is a fighter as well and I believe he is a team player,” said the boss.

The Metro has reported that Paulo Dybala would prefer a move to Arsenal ahead of a switch to Italian side Juventus.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the £28.9 million rated star for some time and he could be in line for a summer switch.

Juventus are reported to have offered him the chance to stay in Serie A, but the paper claims it’s a case of personal preference.
