While other clubs are praised for their efforts in the Premier League, Swansea City quietly go about their business under the hugely impressive stewardship of manager Garry Monk.
The Swans are now eighth in the Premier League following their 1-0 win against Aston Villa on Saturday, and they had some fine play from substitute Jefferson Montero and an equally fine finish from Bafetimbi Gomis to thank for that.
Montero came on shortly after the hour-mark, replacing Swansea teammate Gylfi Sigurdsson, and he quickly caused Villa right-back Leandro Bacuna all sorts of problems.
Time and again he ran at a player more used to featuring further up the field and that ultimately told as the Swansea wide-man played in the ball that led to the winner.
Montero has been used sparingly since injury ruled him out for five league matches. From regular starter he has been used more as an impact sub in recent matches, and why not when he can do what he did on Saturday?
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Swansea fans thought of Montero’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
I've always said when Montero is on form. He's in his own class!! Well done today boys. Great bounce back after Mondays defeat!— Jamie Grogan (@_JamieGrogan) March 21, 2015
@thebrynmilljack Seems to be a really good balance in the team, but would love to see Montero more often as he's great to watch— Swans Stats (@We_R_PL) March 21, 2015
Just watched our goal from yesterday again. Two brilliant balls from Routledge and Montero, and a superb finish from Gomis.— Tom (@TomA_791) March 22, 2015

@Heathy_25 Because of Montero... without his supply and beating of Bacuna the goal doesn't come.— Tommy Bartlett (@tom9022) March 21, 2015
