Sheffield Wednesday returned to winning ways in the Championship on Saturday, when they got the better of Rotherham United 3-2 away from home.
The Owls headed into the clash at the New York Stadium on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home.
Wednesday were favourites to win the Championship encounter against Rotherham, but they were given a run for their money.
Ben Pringle put Rotherham in the lead in the 57th minute, but Caolan Lavery restored parity in the 86th minute.
What followed thereafter was unprecedented, as no fewer than three goals were scored.
Jordan Bowery restored parity for Rotherham on 87 minutes, but Atdhe Nuhiu's header in the third minute of injury time levelled it at 2-2, and Kieren Lee made it 3-2 five minutes later.
It was one of the most dramatic finishes in the Championship this season, but one suspects that the Rotherham fans would have wanted it otherwise.
Steve Evans’s side are now 21st in the league table with 40 points from 39 matches, just five points above the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Wednesday have climbed up to 12th in the Championship standings with 53 points from 39 games.
Following the match, Wednesday fans, as well as stars Kieran Lee and Caolan Lavery, took to social networking site Twitter to revel in the win.
