Arsenal loanee Emiliano Martinez was involved in a dramatic debut for Rotherham United.
The Argentine was on course for a clean sheet until the 86th minute, and ended up on the losing side - conceding three in a wild finish to the game against Sheffield Wednesday.
A late Owls fightback sealed a 3-2 win against Martinez's Rotherham, with Kieran Lee scoring the winner in the seventh minute of injury time.
Martinez was on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last season, and could not stop his old side forcing a win despite his best efforts.
The late fightback means Rotherham stay just five points clear of the relegation zone in 21st place in the Championship.
Martinez had been in need of game time after David Ospina's breakthrough at Arsenal. Earlier in the season he had made six first team appearances and looked solid, playing in two Champions League games.
He made three saves during the game against Wednesday, and despite finishing on the losing side, his performance gave fans of the Millers reason for encouragement.
Emiliano Martinez looked decent for us today apart from the 3 goals. Think he could be an important factor to help us survive! #rufc— Sam (@peanut_rufc) March 21, 2015
Really impressed today with Martinez. Thought he had a good game in goal for us with some top saves. (apart from the goals) #rufc— James #RUFC (@JimmyP82) March 21, 2015
Even Rotherham's official twitter feed took time to praise his efforts during the midst of the late drama.
