Rangers fans react on Twitter to Lee Wallace's performance against Hibernian

Rangers fans were running out of superlatives after Lee Wallace's display against Hibernian.

Rangers finally clinched their first win under new manager Stuart McCall at the third attempt, producing a superb performance to beat Hibernian 2-0 at Easter Road.

Hibs sat one spot above third place Rangers in the Scottish Championship table, and went into the game having won five on the bounce and conceded just one goal in that time.

However, Rangers left Edinburgh with all three points as goals from Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller handed new manager Stuart McCall his first win as Rangers boss

At the final whistle, Wallace went over to celebrate in front of the Rangers fans, kissing the badge - and in doing so, sparked praise on social media.

The 27-year-old left back joined from Hearts back in 2011, and showed his passion for the club after helping secure this vital victory.

Rangers fans were full of praise for the former Scotland international on Twitter, suggesting that he should be named captain instead of Lee McCulloch, with many believing that he is well on his way to becoming a Rangers legend.
