The pitch at Bloomfield Road is continually coming under fire this season.
Leeds United played out a 1-1 draw with Blackpool at Bloomfield Road yesterday but as a spectacle the game was fairly drab.
Most games are at Blackpool these days, nobody would want to play football on that pitch.
The Blackpool surface has been a real topic of discussion this season, as the distinct lack of care being taken at the club is clearly visible on the pitch.
On what resembled more farmland than football pitch, Leeds and Blackpool did battle as best they could. Silky passing football, however, was not on the agenda and in the end a draw was a fair result on possibly the worst playing surface in the UK.
The pitch was bad before the game, but 90 minutes of boot churning and divot making from the Blackpool and Leeds players did not help.
After the game Phil Hay, lead journalist for Leeds United at the Yorkshire Evening Post, Tweeted this picture of the truly woeful playing surface just to show how bad it really was.
Shocking! There are Sunday League pitches that look in better nick.
Sorry Reading, you’re next. Enjoy.
