Phil Neville says Liverpool could not handle Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini

Manchester United 3

Marouane Fellaini's contribution for Manchester United against Liverpool has been highlighted by a former player.

Former Manchester United player Phil Neville took to Twitter during the club’s vital Premier League encounter with Liverpool to comment on one player in particular.

Marouane Fellaini did not have the best debut season at Old Trafford but he is now a vital part of their side, the Belgian international utilised extremely effectively by manager Louis van Gaal.

He was at it again this weekend, causing Liverpool all sorts of problems just as he has against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in recent times.

With United 1-0 up courtesy of Juan Mata, Neville wrote, “Liverpool can’t handle Fellaini at the minute!”

It is a comment that may be repeated many more times before the season is over, only with a different club mentioned.

Such has been Fellaini’s resurgence at United that he now looks like playing a vital role in their fight for Champions League qualification; a fight that received a huge boost when they overcame Liverpool 2-1 on Sunday.
