Lord Sugar highly critical of Tottenham winger Nacer Chadli on Twitter

Nacer Chadli

The former Spurs chairman was not impressed by the performance of the Belgian.

Alan Sugar, or Lord Sugar, is famous for making his fortune from the Amstrad computing company and for his television work on The Apprentice.

But he also once owned Tottenham Hotspur FC and acted as their chairman until selling the club to ENIC in 2001 and during his time with the club he became fairly unpopular with the Tottenham fans.

But he still considers himself a Spurs fan, and was just one of many commenting on the exciting fixture between Tottenham and Leicester City yesterday.

Spurs won thanks to hat-trick from Harry Kane, but the 4-3 scoreline was certainly too close for comfort.

So plenty of Tottenham players came in for stick from Sugar, including Belgian winger Nacer Chadli.

Here are the Tweets in question:

Sugar was clearly not impressed. Most Spurs fans would agree that Chadli has improved this season but perhaps, in recent weeks, his form has tailed off slightly.

His yellow card for an obvious dive was not helpful to his cause either.

Chadli started the season in great form, netting nine goals in his opening 23 appearances. But he has just one in his last 14 and fans are probably wondering whether he has burned himself out this term.

Hopefully next season he can rediscover his early season verve.
