Tottenham Hotspur defeated Leicester City 4-3 on Saturday and some of their players later celebrated on social media.
Tottenham Hotspur responded to their 3-0 defeat against Manchester United with a hit-and-miss performance against Leicester City a week later.
Harry Kane’s hat-trick and an own-goal from Jeffrey Schlupp ultimately ensured Spurs took all three points, despite the Foxes scoring three themselves, through Jamie Vardy, Wes Morgan and David Nugent.
Questions have and will continue to be asked about Tottenham’s defence but they had Kane to thank – yet again – as the in-form front-man made it 29 goals for the season.
After the match, Kane posted a celebratory message on Twitter while also hinting that he did get a hat-trick despite his second goal going in off Leicester defender Robert Huth.
“Great win today,” Kane wrote. “Buzzing to get my first Premier League hat-trick. It’s been a week I won’t forget for sure.”
He then added the hashtag ‘ItWasOnTarget’.
His Tottenham teammates Christian Eriksen and Nabil Bentaleb also had their say, with the Danish international looking ahead to eight more finals while the Algerian star acknowledged that while it was a great win it was certainly not his side’s best performance.
