Tottenham’s over-reliance on Harry Kane to score goals has been evident since the turn of the year, with back-up options Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor not convincing the Spurs fans of their respective merits.
As such, the North London club are widely expected to be in the market for a new centre forward this summer.
The 23-year-old German forward has netted 13 goals in 26 games for the Eredivisie side this season.
Uth was a product of the Cologne youth system but was not afforded an opportunity to play for the Bundesliga outfit.
He has been on the books of the Dutch top flight side since 2012 and caught the eye during a loan spell at Heracles last term.
Despite being Heerenveen’s top goalscorer this season, Uth has only struck twice in the Eredivisie in 2015.
The report suggests that although Spurs are not going to make the German their top priority this summer, he is a player that they are closely monitoring.
