Tottenham round-up: Early team news; defender’s future questioned

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur take on Leicester City later today in a huge match for both sides.

Spurs got over their double cup disappointment in fine style, winning back-to-back Premier League matches, but their performance and subsequent 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last time out left many questions unanswered.

Tottenham will not find it easy to get back on track against a Leicester side who may be bottom of the pile but have already beaten Spurs once at White Hart Lane this season.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Tottenham are without striker Roberto Soldado who has a knee injury, but there is better news regarding Ryan Mason, who has recovered from the dead leg he suffered at Old Trafford.

Leicester are without Dean Hammond through injury and Anthony Knockaert due to personal circumstances.

In other news, the Guardian has cast further doubt over the future of Tottenham defender Yonues Kaboul.

The reports linking Kevin Wimmer with Spurs have been doing the rounds for a few days, but the latest report has suggested any arrival could see both Kaboul and fellow defender Vlad Chiriches leave the club.
