The Pole is currently out on loan at AFC Bournemouth.
Southampton were dealt a big blow earlier today. While they were pleased with their 2-0 win over Burnley they lost a key player to injury.
Fraser Forster has been a star player for Southampton this season and cemented his place in the England national team since his move from Celtic in the summer.
But today he was stretchered off at St Marys with what looks a serious knee injury. It seemed innocuous enough, but as is often the case with knee problems, that might be the worst predictor for the severity of his issue.
It meant that 38-year-old veteran Kelvin Davis had to come in for the majority of the game. He now looks set to keep sticks at Southampton for the remainder of the season, with Paolo Gazzaniga playing deputy.
Southampton do however have a top goalkeeping option currently out on loan from the club. Polish international Artur Boruc was pushed aside when Forster arrived at Southampton and he joined Bournemouth on loan back in September.
However a report in the Bournemouth Echo claims that Boruc will not be recalled. He is believed to have no recall option in his current deal at Dean Court and Southampton will simply have to make do with what they currently have at their disposal.
So get used to seeing Davis in goal for the foreseeable future.
