Photos: Foundations laid for Tottenham Hotspur's £400m new stadium

The new stadium, being built next door to White Hart Lane, is three years from completion.

Tottenham Hotspur won their Premier League fixture against Leicester City today, a dramatic game ending 4-3.

A hat-trick was netted by Harry Kane, just one of the star young players setting White Hart Lane alight and getting Spurs fans excited about the future direction of the club.

Mauricio Pochettino is also looking settled in his role as manager and now the fans can really begin to think about the future direction of the club – which includes a brand new stadium.

In February the Daily Mail reported that Spurs had got the ‘green light’ to begin the building on their £400 million stadium.

The build, which had been delayed by an appeal from Archway Sheet Metal Works, is taking place next door to Tottenham’s current ground and will see a 56,000 seater stadium erected as Tottenham’s new home.

Now, the build is truly in motion.

Mike Collet of Reuters News Agency has posted these pictures on Twitter today of the foundations being laid at their new Tottenham ground.

Exciting times for Spurs fans, as they continue to march in the right direction toward cementing their place at the top table of the Premier League elite.
