Photos: England manager all smiles for Harry Kane hat-trick, but Hugo Lloris crocked

The striker became the Premier League top scorer this season today.

Tottenham Hotspur were put through the mire today. They won 4-3 against Leicester City in a rather dramatic fixture at White Hart Lane with several talking points and images that truly told the story of the game.

Of course Harry Kane is once again the main talking point.

The striker was called up to the England squad this week for the first time after scoring 26 goals this season and today he showed just why he is in Roy Hodgson’s thoughts.

He scored a hat-trick today, his first in the Premier League and his second this season, to give Spurs the win and he celebrated with his usual passion at scoring for his favourite club.

The added bonus for Kane was who was watching him in action. The England boss was in attendance and he was clearly impressed with the performance of his newest recruit to the England set-up. Kane certainly put a smile on his face.

The only down sides of the fixture was the poor defending from Spurs, including another worrying display from Kyle Walker.

They also lost their goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. The talismanic stopper suffered a nasty injury to his knee and these images are ones no Tottenham fan would have wanted to see.

But overall a good, if not slightly bumpy, day at the office for Spurs.
