Liverpool play-maker Philippe Coutinho has been speaking to the club’s official website about the upcoming clash between his side and Manchester United.
Just one place and two points separate the two sides in the Premier League, with United currently fourth and Liverpool fifth, pushing hard for that final champions League qualifying place.
Sunday’s match between the two sides is arguably the biggest match of both sides’ campaigns. After all, a win for United and they will move five points clear of Liverpool with games running out. But a victory for the Reds and they will have Champions League qualification in their own hands.
This is the kind of match that the term ‘six-pointer’ was made for, and Coutinho is well aware of that.
Speaking ahead of the clash, the Brazilian said, “It’s a really important game for us, and a tough one.
“No fan wants to lose this game, which I see as one of the world’s greatest fixtures.”
Coutinho has been in excellent form in recent months and he could prove to be the difference when the two sides clash.
At Anfield, Liverpool will be quietly confident and they will want to avenge their 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford earlier this season.
But rest assured, United will be just as up for a fixture that could define both teams’ campaigns.
