Norwich City have defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1 at home to enhance their chances of finishing in the top two of the Championship this season.
The hosts took the lead on the stroke of half time when Jonny Howson shot home from close range after being teed up by Wes Hoolahan.
The Canaries made it 2-0 at Carrow Road 11 minutes into the second half, with Cameron Jerome turning in a cross from Martin Olsson.
Norwich ended the game as contest on the hour mark when they scored the third goal of the afternoon.
Chris Burke brought down Olsson inside the Forest penalty box, and Hoolahan made no mistake from 12 yards.
Although Burke pulled one back for the Reds in the 76th minute, it proved to be a mere consolation for the visitors.
While the result is great for Norwich, it could probably end Forest’s chances of a late push for the Championship playoffs.
