Michael Owen predicts Newcastle United v Arsenal

Michael Owen looks ahead to today’s Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Arsenal at St. James’ Park.

Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that Arsenal will win against Newcastle United away from home today.

The former Manchester United and Liverpool striker believes that the Gunners will prove to be too strong against the Magpies in the Premier League clash at St. James’ Park.

“Arsenal, much like Chelsea and Manchester City, crashed out of the Champions League at the first knockout-stage however there was a lot to like about their performance midweek, with Arsene Wenger’s side ultimately unfortunate to exit the competition on away goals,” the 35-year-old wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Gunners continue to play slick, high-tempo football and they should be too strong for Newcastle at St James’ Park.”

Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?

Arsenal will be huge favourites heading into the game, despite being the visiting team for the encounter.

The Gunners are stronger than Newcastle and are also in better form, having almost accomplished a remarkable comeback against AS Monaco in the Champions League last 16.

However, Arsene Wenger’s side should not get too complacent, as the Newcastle players will be looking to step up.

Winning against the North London outfit will mean a lot to manager John Carver and his men, and the Magpies will certainly be looking to cause an upset.

If Arsenal play the way they have been playing in recent weeks, then they should certainly win without any problem.
