Giuseppe Bellusci outlines Leeds United’s target for next season

Giuseppe Bellusci says that Leeds United are determined to succeed in the Championship next season.

Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci has told Fox Sports that the team are determined to finish in the Championship playoffs next season.

The Whites are virtually out of the running for a place in the top six this campaign, but the 2014 summer signing of confident of launching the challenge in 2015-16.

“The playoffs are too far away now, we would need a miracle,” the Italian told Fox Sports. “But next year we are aiming to win. After a difficult first half of the season, we have now found our own identity.”

Leeds have not featured in the Premier League since 2004, but optimism reigns supreme at Elland Road.

The Whites are playing well at the moment, and if they can finish the season well, then it will give them something to build on next season.

The West Yorkshire outfit have a good bunch of players who have the quality to break into the top six.

Leeds are a bit further off from winning the Championship at the moment, but if Neil Redfearn remains the head coach and gets to make some good signings in the summer transfer window, then there is a possibility that they could launch a challenge for the top spot.
