Blackpool 1-1 Leeds United; Antenucci to the rescue for Redfearn's men

Leeds United grabbed a draw at Bloomfield Road in a 1-1 result against Blackpool.

Italian striker Mirco Antenucci spared Leeds' blushes at Bloomfield Road, as his goal saved a point for Neil Redfearn's men at Bloomfield Road.

The Whites travelled to the Seaside to take on Lee Clark's struggling Tangerines, who sit bottom of the Championship table with just 23 points from 39 games after today's result.

Blackpool took the lead in the first half, with Sheffield Wednesday loanee Gary Madine scoring on the stroke of half time - putting a real shock on the cards.

Leeds toiled away in a bid to rescue a point, and just after the hour mark, Italian striker Antenucci made it two goals in two games with the equaliser.

Blackpool had 19 shots on goal and could easily have sprung a surprise on Neil Redfearn's men, but after two away games in a week, Redfearn will be delighted to have claimed four points.

The result leaves Leeds in 13th place, whilst Blackpool remain rooted to the bottom of the table, with their relegation to League One a formality right now having won just four games all season.
