West Brom striker Saido Berahino is carrying an injury, confirms Tony Pulis

The England Under-21 striker is not at 100% at the moment.

West Brom take on Manchester City in the early kick off tomorrow afternoon and Tony Pulis, who has previous good form at The Etihad Stadium from his time at Stoke City, will be hoping to take something away from the Premier League champions.

One man who will be key to any success is striker Saido Berahino.

The forward, who was recently called into the England Under-21 squad, will need to be on top form if West Brom are to take anything from this tough appointment.

But Pulis has revealed something about Berahino today – he is carrying an unspecified injury.

Sky Sports report Pulis as stating:

"The lad's been very good lately in his attitude and his approach to everything we have done has been excellent.

"He's not said anything to me about it. He has been carrying an injury for the past few weeks but has still shown great character."

Berahino has previously been criticised for his attitude on and off the pitch, with many suspecting he wanted a move away from the club in January.

However he has been in good form under Pulis and his resolve to play with a niggling injury is certainly a trait not many of fans would have expected from the young striker.

Berahino suffered a knock against Sunderland at the end of last month, and it could be he is still suffering from that problem.

But West Brom fans will certainly hope he can brush off the problem and get the better of Manchester City this weekend.
