Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has told the club's official website that Leicester City's victory over them in the FA Cup earlier in the season should serve as a warning to the Lilywhites squad.
Tottenham are due to face Leicester at White Hart Lane tomorrow, but they will be wary of the threat posed by the Foxes.
Nigel Pearson's side beat Tottenham 2-1 back in January and Davies is determined to ensure that a repeat of that outcome is avoided on Saturday.
“Leicester are fighting for their lives and they will be determined to try and get something out of the game," he said. “That result in the FA Cup keeps us on our toes, it’s a warning there for us that they have showed us what they can do if we give them the opportunity.
Tottenham can ill-afford any more slip-ups this season if they are to make it into the Champions League qualification spot that they so desperately crave.
Spurs are currently six points adrift of the top four, meaning that they are under pressure to pick up maximum points from their remaining nine games.
Tottenham should have enough to overcome Leicester on Saturday if they play to the maximum of their ability, but Mauricio Pochettino's side have been showing signs of fatigue recently.
Spurs have had a gruelling season, competing in Europe as well as domestically, and their form has dipped of late.
They will be determined to show that this is just a blip, though, and if Spurs can get three points against Leicester, then the mood in camp is sure to be a much happier one.
