Real Madrid have stepped up their preparations ahead of Sunday’s La Liga clash against arch-rivals Barcelona at Camp Nou.
‘El Clasico’ is arguably the biggest game in club football, and the Madrid players have been preparing for the encounter.
Under the watchful eyes of coach Carlo Ancelotti, the players were training on Thursday, among them former Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale.
The Wales international winger had recently come under criticism for his under-par performances, but he seems to have returned to form.
Last weekend, Bale scored both goals as Madrid defeated Levante 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga.
The 25-year-old has scored 12 goals and created 33 chances in 24 La Liga appearances so far this season, while having a pass accuracy of 79% and winning 55 of the 95 tackles he has attempted.
Another Madrid player who will be key in El Clasico is Cristiano Ronaldo, who was also training on Thursday.
The 30-year-old former Manchester United forward has scored 30 goals and created 51 chances in 24 La Liga matches so far this campaign, while having a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 61%.
