Mark Lawrenson has predicted in his BBC Sport column that Aston Villa will win against Swansea City on Saturday.
The former Liverpool defender believes that the Villans will register a 2-1 victory over the Welsh outfit at Villa Park in the Premier League clash.
“Swansea played well against Liverpool on Monday night but they were unlucky with Jordan Henderson's goal for the Reds and did not get the reward they deserved,” the 57-year-old wrote on BBC Sport.
“Aston Villa, meanwhile, got their best result of the season with their 4-0 win at Sunderland. Confidence has been one of Villa's problems in recent months but that performance should give them plenty of belief that they can get another win here too.”
Could Mark Lawrenson’s prediction come true?
This is a tough game to call, and one should not be surprised if it ends in a draw.
Villa have won their last three games in all competitions and will be high on confidence against the Swans.
Manager Tim Sherwood seems to have revitalised the players, who will be determined to continue their winning streak.
Swansea, though, will not be easy pushovers even though they are the away side.
The Welsh outfit are aiming for a top-10 finish in the Premier League this season, and they will be keen on getting back to winning ways.
Garry Monk’s side have lost their last two league matches, but they will fancy their chances of picking up at least a point at Villa Park.
