Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has taken to social networking site Twitter to assure the fans that the players are determined to win against Liverpool on Sunday.
United will take on their arch-rivals at Anfield in a Premier League game which could prove to be crucial in the race for the top four this season.
The Red Devils will head into the game placed fourth in the table with 56 points from 29 matches, while Liverpool are just two points behind them in fifth.
The United players were training today, and after the session was over, left-back Shaw posted the following message on Twitter.
Liverpool will probably head into the encounter as favourites, mainly because they are in better form than United and are also playing at home.
From their last 10 Premier League games, Brendan Rodgers’s side have taken 26 points, more than any other side.
The Merseyside outfit have also scored 17 goals during that period, while conceding only five.
United have not fared that badly since January 1, having picked up 20 points from their last 10 matches.
Louis van Gaal’s side have also scored 17 goals, but they have conceded two more than Liverpool in the same period.
